When childcare works, work works.

cocorio runs creative, fully managed childcare for businesses across the UK. On-site crèches for meetings, conferences and away days, year round or during school holidays, event childcare UK-wide, and ongoing childcare support that keeps working parents in the room and at work.

Your parents are in the building, and they are still not in the room.

Childcare breakdown is a leading cause of unplanned absence for working parents. It also quietly decides who attends the offsite, who joins the 8am, who puts themselves forward for the stretch role, and who leaves within a year of returning from parental leave.

You cannot fix that with a wellbeing webinar. You fix it with care that actually turns up.

Autumn half-term pilot, 26 to 30 October 2026

Start with one week rather than a policy. We survey your parents, visit the site, then deliver a fully staffed and insured week of on-site childcare during half-term. You decide what to scale from what people actually book.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-registered basis, so the earlier we hear from you, the more we can plan around your employees' dates.

  • One in six parents has turned down a promotion because of childcare cost pressure.
  • Return to office plans stall on one barrier more than any other: who looks after the children.

Three ways we work with employers

Crèche

Corporate crèche, on-site or near-site

Fully managed childcare at your office or venue, for a single day or a standing arrangement. Creative nannies, activities structured by age, equipment and insurance included, one point of contact. Used for conferences, away days, board meetings, training weeks, school holiday cover and return-to-work weeks. Year round or during school holidays, to support working parents when they need it most. Available at your site anywhere in the UK.

Events

Event childcare, UK-wide

Creative nannies and children's entertainers for company events, family days, client events and celebrations. From £65 per hour per creative nanny.

Benefit

Employee benefits and backup care

A company account your employees link to. When their usual childcare falls through they book a vetted nanny through us. Fully or partly employer-subsidised options are available, so you can fund all of it, some of it, or simply give your people access at an agreed rate. Set a monthly budget or leave it open. We invoice you directly and report monthly on usage.

The part you cannot compromise on

  • Every nanny is DBS-checked, first aid certified, reference checked, interviewed and trained.
  • Creative nannies with real backgrounds in music, dance, drama and languages. Care children want to go to, not care they tolerate.
  • cocorio holds the contracts and the insurance, including public liability, and works with self-employed nannies. No employment admin, no National Insurance, no holiday or sick pay for you to carry.
  • In-home backup care across Greater London. On-site provision and events UK-wide, with travel arranged for one-off bookings.
  • Cover if a nanny is ever unavailable. That is the whole promise of backup care, so we carry the risk of it.
  • EYFS-aligned ratios: 1 to 3 for three months to two years, 1 to 4 for two to three years, 1 to 8 for three years and above. A lead or manager is always present on top of the ratio, plus a floating team member across sessions, so the room ratio is never stretched to its limit.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy reviewed January 2026. Designated Safeguarding Lead Corinna Bordoli, Deputy Léa Rozencwajg Henry. Every practitioner holds an enhanced DBS certificate, two checked references, and mandatory safeguarding, health and safety and paediatric first aid training before working with children.
  • Public liability and employers' liability insurance of £5,000,000 each, underwritten by QBE UK Limited. Certificates supplied for due diligence.
  • The full safeguarding and compliance pack, including the Ofsted position for your specific service, is available on request at the first call.

A scoped proposal

Model, staffing, cost, and what we need from your side. Usually one internal email and a room. Turnaround three working days.

Run it

Crèche and event days are booked date by date. Programmes go live with a company account, an employee sign-up link and monthly reporting.

Questions employers ask

What does it cost?

Event and crèche cover starts from £65 per hour per creative nanny. Beyond that there are various ways to fund it: employees can pay directly, or the company covers a set-up fee of £750 and employees fund the rest. Fully or partly subsidised arrangements are also available. We are happy to scope the right shape with you on a call.

How quickly can backup cover be arranged?

Usually quickly, depending on location and availability. We will tell you honestly at the point of booking rather than promise a number we cannot hold.

Do we have to commit to a volume?

No. Crèche and event days are booked as needed. Programmes can run on a monthly budget you set.

Who employs the nanny?

The nanny is self-employed and contracted through cocorio. You have no employment obligations, no National Insurance, no holiday or sick pay.

Is this only available in London?

In-home backup care is available across Greater London. On-site provision and events are available UK wide.

Are you Ofsted registered?

It depends on the service. Our activity-based, session-style provision, such as family days, holiday and after-school sessions and event childcare, typically falls within Ofsted's registration exemptions under the Childcare Act 2006. That is a recognised, lawful category, not an absence of standards: the same enhanced DBS vetting, paediatric first aid certification and EYFS-aligned ratios apply either way. For longer term or nursery-style provision where registration applies, we review the criteria against the confirmed format before delivery and handle registration on our side.

How is the benefit treated for tax?

May be subject to tax benefits under the Workplace Nursery Exemption (s318, Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003), depending on specifications.

How is our data handled?

We only use enquiry details to respond to you and to run any service you go on to book, and we do not sell or share them. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
